The Expanse - Roci Design

This is an updated post for the Rocinante with a selection of the original design sketches as well as the updated paint job and upgrades for the later seasons. Cool bit, the updated paint job for season 4 utilizes the VFX model which was based on my model that was built as part of the original concept design process. The images are roughly in order time-wise the oldest being at the bottom of the page.
Special call out to Lee Fitzgerald who designed the landing gear for season 4.

Landing inspired by the books, but I don't think ever used in the show. In the books, the interior was designed to be used in a vertical and horizontal orientation.

I found out that it's not ideal to fire torpedoes perpendicular to the ship while at velocity. I think from this point on, we always designed missile tubes that fire forward.
